Working with traumatized children often necessitates strong empathetic and relational engagement and, in some cases, the processing of trauma narratives. For professionals involved in the care of children and families who have experienced trauma, the act of listening to and helping process trauma stories takes an emotional toll, impacting their professional and personal lives.

The goal of this two-part training, led by Dr. Zlatina Kostova and Dr. Leslie Ross, is to shed light on Secondary Traumatic Stress (STS), its impact at the organizational and individual levels, and practical strategies that can be used to identify and manage it and improve the well-being of child-serving professionals.
