Training Description:
Youth-Serving Organizations (YSOs) across Massachusetts support healthy child development in our communities in a multitude of ways, yet share one essential, universal duty: to provide safety and security for the children they serve. Join this 90-minute interactive workshop to learn how to identify concrete ways your program can evaluate and develop policies, procedures, and protocols to prevent abuse.
Learning objectives:
- Participants will review how to recognize, respond, and report child abuse.
- Participants will build awareness of tools, resources, model documents, and practices that prevent child abuse in youth-serving organizations.
- Participants will plan next steps for their own work using a policy self-audit tool on SafeKidsThrive.org and group discussion.
