Home / Join the Community / Brazelton Touchpoints Center: Applying a Developmental-Relational Framework to Building Children’s Early Emotional Health
This workshop series explores strengths-based foundational concepts and actionable strategies related to trauma, adaptation, healing, and resilience. Family- and child-facing providers learn about a developmental-relational framework that will deepen their understanding of the individual and systemic impact of trauma, and support their work with children and families. Each workshop is 90 minutes, offers a certificate of attendance, and has live Spanish translation and closed captioning available.
Series Part 2: How do children cope with traumatic experiences? A traumatic response might appear in the way children behave with their peers or as they transition from one activity to another. Professionals who work with children can learn to recognize and be sensitive to the various ways that children respond to trauma. These might include behavioral challenges, or sadness and withdrawal. In this workshop, you will learn how to partner with families and caregivers to support children’s healing and the building of resilience.
