This document includes sample questions to ask previous employers or references for applicants during the screening process. These questions are related to child safety, receiving feedback, and their suitability to work with children. These questions can be used by hiring staff to check in with previous employers or references about the applicant’s ability to work with children. It can be used to better understand if the applicant is well suited to being around children in a Youth-Serving Organization (YSO).
